President and Chief Operating Officer


Mark G. Sander is President and Chief Operating Officer of Old National. He held the same position at First Midwest prior to the merger with Old National in 2022. Prior to joining First Midwest in 2011, Mark served as Executive Vice President, Head of Commercial Banking at Associated Banc-Corp and was a member of the Executive and Asset-Liability (ALCO) committees. Prior to Associated, he held several leadership positions at Bank of America and LaSalle Bank, a $110 billion asset subsidiary of ABN AMRO, N.V. Mark earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois. He is on the Executive Committee of The Banker’s Club of Chicago, an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago and a member of the Dean’s Business Council for the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Mark is also on the President’s Leadership Council of Chicago Youth Centers, a Board Member for the Chicago Zoological Society/Brookfield Zoo and on the Board of Regents for the Mercy Home for Boys & Girls.
